When recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, one of the main challenges is not to fall back into injury by doing the same thing again. This is a real fear because if habitual faulty movements caused the injury, they might not have changed even if the symptoms were successfully eliminated during rehabilitation.
This problem might explain the prevalence of episodically natured incidents of acute low back pain due to a trivial movement that was performed incorrectly.
During an acute pain episode, focus is placed on calming the situation and reducing the symptoms to stop the body and mind from suffering. Once the symptoms are normalized, it is a good time to maintain the advantages and further increase the movement foundations to a healthy fit level.
To cross the dangerous bridge between injury and health safely and efficiently, Harmony INTERMEDIATE exercises are significant. The goal is to eventually build a body that can safely participate in any normal physical activity, weather it is cycling, rugby, triathlon or CrossFit.
While Harmony BASIC exercises are suitable for beginners and rehabilitation, Foundation Intermediate exercises take the body from there towards a fully fit and healthy body.
During this stage, the Harmony BASIC exercises are still practiced, as the warm up for the more advanced exercises in each chain.
After the 10 Harmony INTERMEDIATE exercises can be performed harmoniously, please proceed to the Harmony ADVANCED exercises.
